Open Door
Policy
Eastfield Community Pre-school operates
an Open Door Policy, this ensures that:
-
Parents are always welcome at the
pre-school
-
Parents can stay with their child
until they feel settled
-
Parents can telephone the pre-school
to check on their child at any time during the session
-
Parent helpers are invited into the
pre-school on a regular rota or on an occasional basis,
contributing a wide range of knowledge and skills
benefiting the children, staff and other parents.
Change of
Details
Parents
must inform the pre-school of any change to their child’s
registration form immediately,
i.e.
change of address, telephone number, emergency contact,
medical information, dietary requirements etc
Child Safety
To ensure the safety of all
children, the pre-school operates a child safety policy:
-
Please inform the staff if
your child is being collected by anyone other then
yourselves, you will be
-
required to fill in a
collection slip to authorise this.
-
At the end of the session
one member of staff will be stood by the entrance and
another by the gate.
-
You
will be required to name the child you will be
collecting, you will then be allowed into the main room
-
Please do not send your child to the
toilet or for their coat at this point,
you must escort
-
them outdoors yourself.
-
Please keep clear of the
gate area until ready to leave to ensure staffs
efficiency for child safety
-
Please remember to close all
outside gates
These
procedures are in place to ensure the highest level of
safety for your child.
During the
settling-in period, staff are not always aware of every
child’s parent.
